Ta Da!
It is finally finished.
See all those zig zags....all that cutting, I now suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, just joking. This truly was quite the ambitious sewing project for me, but the outcome was totally worth all the work. I am in love. The fabric is really durable on one side and fluffy and soft on the opposite.
It smells great too. A lucky baby is going to love this!
See that PERFECT binding job? It is only perfect because of Beth, my sweet mother-in-law. She unpicked what I did the first time round and taught me how to do it correctly. It looks loads better! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I need her around more often. I usually just fly by the seat of my pants and try to figure things out on my own.
Lydia just had to be in my camera frame. Heaven forbid
I ever take a picture of something other than her. Ha ha. Oh, how I love her!
More info:
I bought the material @ Fabric.com.
I followed this tutorial.
I didn't have a special cutter, just my hand &
a trusty pair of scissors, but they got the job done.

Wow, that looks great!! Awesome job! I can't believe you did all that by hand: my hands would be sore for sure. And I LOVE the material. It all looks great. :)
So cute, Laura! I love the colors and that one side looks sooo soft!
