*** Seriously won't care if you skip this post.***

This is mainly for Tyson so this winter if he happens to say,
"oh last summer wasn't that bad,"
I'll have some documentation to remind him otherwise.

Lets begin with the words: HOT, HOT and HOT, gross, sweaty, unbearable, red in the face, uncomfortable & a little yucky. It really is a wet & sweaty heat. Not like the dry hot Utah dessert heat we are used to...nights DO NOT cool off and shade doesn't help the human body in the least.

Our A/C is constantly running day and night. It is included on a regular basis in our prayers, even Lydia now offers gratitude for our cold house. We really could not survive without it. Our last bill was $120.00. I thought it would be worse so I was glad to hear it and happy to pay it!

We 'fight'/race for the shade spots in the parking lot outside our place, at church or wherever we go. The shade does wonders for vehicles. Cars are just miserable, especially for little ones in car seats. One toddler in Norman has already died this summer. 8 other people just due to the heat.

We have been staying inside as much as possible. I do my grocery shopping early, early in the morning or late at night. Our pool isn't as refreshing as it could be, but we still go once and a while. Playgrounds are definitely a no play zone. Too hot!

I avoid cooking with my oven as much as possible. The crock-pot, stove and George Forman have become my go to's.

I keep the blinds shut & lights off a lot. We have a ceiling fan in each room and we count are blessings for those too. I guess we have become a little bit like recluses this summer. We only go out if we really need a break and are starting to go stir crazy.

Our friends loaned us the T.V. show series Psych. I will forever remember this hot month of July as our HOT Psych summer. Tyson and I watch an episode every night or so. We laugh out loud, at all the quick word humor, it is pretty clean too, they don't even take the Lord's name in vain. We like trying to solve the mysteries right along with Gus and Spencer...we sometimes keep a tally running too. Oh and finding the random pineapples hidden in each show is right up our alley. Tyson use to hide random banana's in the MTC and his friends coming in after him would find them & hide new ones...and it went on for a while. Ha ha. So creative, a little pointless but definitely fun!

We will be escaping this heat soon....we need to and have been counting down the days!
Here are some things we are looking forward to in Utah: walking outside, playing outside, running outside, sitting under a shade tree outside....pretty much anything and everything OUTSIDE...and jumping into a COLD lake or pool sounds nice right about NOW too!!!

Sunday night Tyson coerced me into taking a short walk up and down our street. It was 9:30 p.m. only 100 degree's after about 5 minutes on our way we both agreed it wasn't too bad...so among all my random heated thoughts....I guess I can actually say we are getting used to it, is that sad or what?! 100 degree's felt GOOD! Crazy! (without the sun shining of course.) Doesn't mean we liked it. But we are surviving and will keep on praying our a.c. continues to run like a charm!

That kind of heat sounds unbearable! :( I am glad you guys have AC! We LOVE Psych! It was the first serious we watched when we got Netflix. The show makes it with humor PLUS added mystery with a hint of romance. :D Can't wait for you guys to come to uTaH!!!!!
