Climbing Mountains

Mom and Logan picked up us from the airport and we made the familiar drive from Salt Lake City to Ogden. Lydia sat in the back pilot seats with Logan and as we turned onto highway 89 she asked, "Yogan, wasat? Yogan, wasat?" She was pointing out the windows and was inquiring about the mountains.

I was thrilled that she took notice so quickly and she learned a new word right away. The entire trip she was mesmerized by them. My parents have a great view from their deck and we saw them everyday.

I asked her if she'd like to go to the top one day and after that she could think of nothing else, she'd wake up and ask, "Mom, we climb a mountain?".....and we did! Twice. Once in Ogden and another time in NSL.

Alright, alright....so we didn't quite make it all the way to the top. Courtney had blisters from her her new sparkle shoes and did I mention Lydia is still two. It was quite the adventure but I know she enjoyed the walking and singing as she made her way down the path.
