1. Lydia is potty trained. Score. Never had to change a diaper on a plane in the past and didn't have to this time.
2. She is so easy to entertain these days. Talking & listening will just about do it. But I still was prepared.
3. She got her very own seat. No more cramped 'lap child'. Sa---weet!
4. We were both ecstatic about going to "Nana's house." We were in extra happy moods!
I introduced her to Silly Bands. They were a hit.
It was honestly just an enjoyable day of traveling, no stress, no waiting, no delays....how rare is that? Oh yes, and she zonked out both times we were actually flying.
During our layover we did butterfly tatoo's, ate lunch, played games and read lots of books....it was a party. The two trains we rode in Denver got just as many points in her books as the plane ride. I didn't even bring a stroller. She did all the walking like a champ.
I was overcome with the beauty and view of the mountains. I had just opened the window on the plane and there they were. I LOOOOOVE them so much. I didn't appreciate them quite as much as I do now. Isn't that how it goes sometimes?
I have a good side kick, she most definitely is cool girl to have around and I love being her Mom.
