Time Out for Woman.....

Oklahoma style.

I had been looking forward to this for months. It worked out great that Tyson was available to watch Lydia so I didn't have to get a sitter.

It reminded me a bit of EFY, a spiritual overload in a super short amount of time and hard to describe to anyone how truly wonderful it actually was.

The theme was "Choose To Become."

I felt the spirit so strong and was taught so many good things. I definitely left that conference center a better person and with the desires to become even better.

I drove up and back with these beautiful girls I get to call my friends. Sharon. Hilary and Candice. We had a great time. I was sad have such a fun weekend come to an end.

My favorite presenters were :

Mariama Kallon

Mariama often says, "If someone had told that I would be here, I would have never believed it." From her Muslim upbringing in war-torn Sierra Leone to serving as a Mormon missionary on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Mariama has learned what God can do in our lives when we give our lives to Him.

Linda J.Eyre and Shawni Eyre Pothier

Sometimes motherhood can seem as far away from "holy" as you can get when you're dealing with attitude from your teenager or scrubbing ball-point pen off the couch. Though holiness in motherhood does not come easy, there are a few simple tools that can make it a part of your everyday moments.

Virginia H. Pearce

While you might only have one mother, luckily we can be mothered by countless others if we are smart enough to listen. Virginia will put us in touch with some of our spiritual mothers--the women of the scriptures and the Restoration, who have so much to say that is more relevant today than ever before.

Hilary Weeks

You said you can't imagine TOFW without her; happily, you don't have to. Hilary is not just a great songwriter and incredible performer; she is first and foremost a woman-a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a sister. Her humor and her testimony make every event perfect (don't miss her new parody!)

Macy Robison

Enjoy a unique “cabaret-style” performance featuring music and musings with Macy Robison celebrating the women and mothers in our lives—daughters, stepdaughters, sisters, friends, teachers, wives, stepmothers, daughters-in-law and mothers. We’ll bring Macy. You bring the tissues.

I have been for the last 3 years to the one in Logan with old roommates. It is something I look forward to all year. I'm glad that they brought it to Oklahoma for you to enjoy too. They had Mariama's testimony recorded at the last one that I went to...one of the most amazing testimonies that I have ever heard!!!
