Seminary 2010-2011

Tyson's first year of teaching Seminary has come to close. It was a long year, when he began I remember a comment he made he said, "Laura, this isn't going away....I have a lesson to prepare EVERY single day." :) Well he got in the swing of things, and got his prep time down to about an hour or so, and balanced 18 credits of school, his part time job and fit his girls in nicely too. Our family was so blessed the past few months in more ways then one, Tyson especially with his health. He tends to always get sick when he gets little sleep and is stressed with school and this hasn't been the case. Our home was definitely blessed with the spirit like we've never had it before and it has been wonderful.

These are his 5 Senior girls that ALL graduated last night. (Tyson and I graduated Seminary 10 years ago...crazy how old we are getting.) 3 of these girls bore there testimonies of how much Seminary has blessed their lives, it was so wonderful and I am so thankful Bro. Goodrich got to be apart of their journey. These are some really special girls. 3 of them are headed to BYU Idaho, they are going to love it. We are excited for them. I am FB friends with all of them and think it will be fun staying in contact with them and seeing how their lives progress. We made bets on who we thought we get engaged first.... ha ha.

For their last day of Seminary we ended with a breakfast along with the other morning class. It was POURING rain, all night and all that day...and some of the students couldn't travel since the roads were so bad. We missed them.

On the day Tyson taught his last lesson he was so relieved and was ready for a break. The weight off his shoulders only lasted a few hours though, he got a call from Bro. Ellis and we were both asked to speak in church 3 days later. Ha ha. It went well. Mine was alright and Tyson's was AMAZING. I loved listening to him speak and could have listened to him go on and on.

Tyson sure has enjoyed associating with this great bunch of youth. Next on the agenda is sleeping in....if he remembers how.
