Zumba, ditch the workout. Join the party!

A month ago I started something new! Sometimes new, can be scary. But this turned out to be something SOOOOO much fun. At my church building, 3 times a week ladies come from all around, members, none members, young and younger join together aaaaaaand we DANCE!!!

Yes, some call it Zumba, but my friend and fabulous instructor Heather says it is more a dance/aerobics style, which is perfect for me, my hip shaking skills are not up to par.

I absolutely love going. It is FREE, less than a 2 minutes drive from my home and you can bring your KIDS with you. I have only 1 kid, most days, but the extra little ones that I tend come with me too once and awhile. I have to keep an eye on them, do the occasional bathroom run with Lydia, open snacks, give a hug.....but the extra running around is just more exercise right?!? Yes ma'am.

Lydia has recently learned the word 'sweaty'. Ha ha. She is so much fun to take with me, she has learned a few of the dances and always joins me for the Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' cool down number and then some stretching/abs.

A lot of my friends attend too, which equals Lydia having little friends to run and around and play with as well. It really couldn't be a more perfect situation for us to get out and exercise. I am lovin' it. It kicks my butt every time but for the rest of the day and I have so much more energy!

Can I tell you one more thing that has been great? I made a new friend. Her name is Linus...she loves to shake it too now and again. She lives near me & she loves children and often comes to play. She has been coming and entertaining the little ones so I can have a quick shower. Seriously, it does not get much easier than that.

Sorry no pictures of me dancing, nor will their ever be! Ha ha.

I love making new friends!!!! Linus is from Korea. She is the only member of the church in her family, she is the sweetest girl ever, I love talking to her & learning about her culture.
