I always longed for a friend just like Matthew, a teacher as wonderful as Ms. Stacey, a kindred spirit as special as Diana Barry, a home as beautiful as Green Gables, to be a teacher in a one room school house, to wear puff sleeves and sleep in a spare bedroom, to be rescued from a sinking boat, to win the Avory scholarship....and most importantly a handsome boy like Gilbert Blythe to call me carrots and fall in love with me.

I discovered this movie when I was 11 years old. I loved the movie and read the books too.
I agree! This is THE BEST movie!!!!! Not according to Tyler though :(
