But then I got brave and thought "hey, I can figure this out!"....aaaand I did. It wasn't too tricky, just like covering my Junior High text book, but with cute fabric instead of a brown paper sack.
I made two. The first one has a plain strap and the next one I made with handles and some rosettes. One yard of fabric can go a long ways, I still have some left over, I think I might make 2 more and give them as gifts.
Why is it when something is cute and girly it makes me want to use it even more?!?

oh my gosh, that is so cute, if you make another one, take step by step pics and post them so I can learn to make them...ok? What a cute idea!
Oh my heck! I love the one with handles and rosettes! As long as you keep up with these cute projects, you're going to see lots of comments from me. :) I can't help it - so cute! I like the idea of taking step-by-step pictures, or I also like the idea of giving them as gifts! :) Need my address? :) So cute, Laura!
Those are super cute! I haven't even plugged in my sewing machine...(I took it out of the box though and looked at all the "stuff" that came with it). I bought some fabric the other day for some "Valentine" projects, so it will be put to use in the next few weeks!
You are awesome!!!
love love love the fabric!
you are getting good at that sewing machine!
i'm still to terrified to break mine open and actually try it.
Love it! You want to make me one? :) You're so creative and crafty.
What an AWESOME scripture cover! We are thinking of doing something like this for our YW this year....
