The only reason we will someday most likely get a dog as a pet is because growing up all Tyson ever wanted was a dog & a basketball hoop. He never got either. I wanted a dog too and my Mom was against it. To get one we/my Dad had to buy her one for her birthday. He really did! We did it as a prank at first and borrowed a neighbors dog she had never seen, but then we got her a real one. Akuna was a great dog and he lived to be 14 years old. I hated when he "died" or was otherwise murdered by my mother. :) Not really, but sort of. It is hard losing a pet, so I don't wish to go through that again, but Tyson really wants one and that is fine with me. I think we'll probably wait until our kid (s) are old enough and want one too before we get one.
Kuna joined our family when I was 10 years old and this is us the summer he died. :(
Here are some of our options for different breeds...
Lab, Bulldog, Blue heeler & Pomeranian.
And if I ever change my mind...I can always just get him a
instead! :)
