17 hour drive New Mexico style

I don't mind long trips, or driving...in fact I kind of enjoy them. I have a husband who loves to be behind the wheel, so my job was to entertain Lydia. (2.3 years old) I had lots to do: games, books, ipod, bubbles, play dough, dvd player, treats....and with the excitement of going to see 'cousins' she was easy to please!

We drove through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. Each time we have made the trip we take a different route and this one was great, lots to see....beauty and a bit of ghetto-ness.

Our first SNOW siting....yay. We were in New Mexico. Tyson and our GPS took us on a ghetto detour to find this gas station. Tyson was scared of a man with a potential pipe bomb. We got out of there fast. :)

My favorite view. Awwwwe!

We got to NSL in the early afternoon, made a stop to see Grandma Goodrich and then headed to Ogden for our big Christmas Eve celebration. It was so amazing to arrive in a home FULL of family, sisters, nieces & nephews, Osenbach cousins and 2 of my Aunts and Uncles. Mom had a turkey and ham dinner all prepared. It was divine!

17 hours well worth it!!!
