I'm sure most of you Mom's can agree that Christmas is SOOO much more fun with kids! I love teaching Lydia everything about Christmas and watching her witness it all for the first time. Sarah reminded me that I get to re-teach her it all next year as she won't remember it all. Double yay!
Santa made an appearance at our bank last week, I went with my friend Dawn and her boy Guy. Lydia roll played everything she was going to talk to say to Santa. It went something like this:
Lydia: Hi Santa
Santa: What do you want for Christmas?
Lydia: Toys!
Santa: Have you been a good girl?
Lydia: I a good girl.
Santa: Your hair is pretty.
Lydia: Tankyou.
Santa: You welcome
Santa: Ho, Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!
She was a little 'star struck' when we first walked in the lobby. But then warmed right up. I helped Santa with their "conversation" he wasn't too chatty. She really liked meeting him. After I snapped a few photo's he gave her a mouse, she got a cookie and she just stood and stared at him.
Lydia and Guy together on Santa's lap.
When she jumped down, she ran up to me and said, "I sit on Santa's yap, I sit on Santa's yap!!!" Then for the next 6 hours that is all she could talk about. We told Daddy, her friends and even called to tell her Granddad.
Later that night we had our Ward Christmas party. It was a nice dinner and few performances. I taught the primary 2 different songs, "When Joseph went to Bethlehem" and "The Nativity Song" they sounded beautiful!
Then at the last minute I thought it'd be super cute to put all the Nursery kids on stage and let them "sing" Jingle bells. Boy was it ever! I love all the kids in my ward.
Elizabeth Anderson, Hannah Jensen, Lydia Goodrich, Buddy Morrison,
Maggie Eastman, Miles Hamblin, Emma Eastman, LaurenCopeland, Charlotte Mullins,
Corbin Hinckley, Samuel Walser & Camry Hinckley.
Then Santa came to our Church and Lydia was excited to see Santa AGAIN, until he jumped OFF the stage to head into the Young women's room. "Lydia scared!" she told me.
This last picture is the one the bank took and printed out for us.
She's been carrying it around and loves to look at it. Santa overload---all in one day.
But it went well and made me happy to see her so happy!

Samuel still isn't sitting on Santa's lap, but he said hi Friday night. It is exciting watching our kids experience Christmas.
Glad meeting Santa went well for Lydia!!
I love the picture of Lydia with the first Santa, she looks so adorable. What a cutie!!!! where did you get those boots? Adorable.
That is a really cute post! It's so cute that she is so excited about him!! Oh I also love the boots.
So, how do you in oklahoma have 12 kids in nursery and in Utah we have a total of 3 in our ward...?
Only 3 Sara, wow....that is odd. We have even more actually, I guess just because our ward boundary is 10 miles long and lots of young families. 2 Elderly couples is all, that is sad.
