I got the idea and recipe to make Pizza Stromboli here and I've made them 3 or 4 times now. We love pizza and it is just a fun way to mix things up. I had the Elders over to our home last week and I went a little crazy and even tried to out my skills at Cal-zones. They were so pretty I couldn't resist taking a picture.
For the Stromboli I usually fill half with Tyson's favorite, cheese & pepperoni and my half gets Hawaiian.
I used the left over dough to make bread sticks, those turned out pitifully. Sorry no pictures, although maybe I should have snapped one, they would have made you laugh. :)
As always Lydia adores missionaries, these two are a great pair, they seem to really get along and are hard workers. Oh yes and before I forget, Elder Wilson on the right is from Alpine, Utah. He told me that his grandparents live in South Ogden. The majority of my parents ward is elderly folk, so I had him throw out the name just for fun.
His Grandpa is Parry Wilson. That name came flooding to my mind so fast and I knew exactly who he was. He is NOT in my parents ward, he was the Stake patriarch for the Burch Creek stake who gave me my patriarchal blessing. We thought that was a fun connection to make. Parry D. Wilson is now 94 years old. I got my blessing out to show him the signature and I showed him that I was his 975th blessing that he gave. He thought that was super cool, it has been a while, I was 15 when I got my blessings. Anyways, Sarah also had him and maybe some of my Pleasant Valley friends did also. Kind of cool.
