Trip to the Zoo

Last week we met up with Dawn & Aubrey at the Zoo. We all have passes and it was a beautiful but humid morning. Lydia and I played at this creative park while we waited for them to come.

Samuel and Lyd were standing here and a Gorilla ran quickly past them right up next to the glass, it scared the bejeebers out of them, Samuel fell off the ledge and Lydia was about to start crying.

Baby Guy is one years old now. Lydia adores him, he is spoken of often in our home.

According to Dawn, "This is what could happen if we didn't wear bra's." YIKES!!! Ha ha.

In the past. I've always been let down by the Lion exhibits design. Their is a huge hill and they can completely move from any view all day long if they choose. I've been multiple occasions and have never had an opportunity to see them like this until today! They are majestic creatures and we watched them for a long time.

Our weather is finally cooling off a bit. I think we'll be going back a few more times this fall!!!

I can't believe how big Lydia's getting! Seems like only yesterday you had her! I'm so happy you have such a great group of friends and such fun things to do there! I wish we were closer to and could do playdates more often. Love you!!

Oh, and I'm so happy your such a faithful blogger! Sometimes I forget to read yours because it's private...but I'm always pleasantly surprised when I do because there's always several posts to read! You've been so good at documenting everything!

It looks like it is a really great zoo. The Hogle Zoo is putting in a cat exhibit soon. Not sure exactly when, but there should be a lion or two. Can't wait!!!!

That was fun and I do want go more. It was kind of funny when Samuel fell off the ledge... does that make me a mean parent?
