It has been about 6 months since our last go with sponge rollers and we had a bit more success this time round. She left them in all day. Hoooray. We even made an appearance at the grocery store where we got some fun looks. Did you know in the 1960's For the Strength of Youth Pamphlet it was innaproppriate to leave the house with curlers. Oopps.

Sponge curlers were a HUGE part of my growing up years. If my memory serves me correctly I swear my sisters and I were only bathed ONCE A WEEK....gross Mom, what were you thinking. But I might be wrong. But I do however remember that when my 2 sisters and I were too old to share a tub, Mom used the same bath water for ALL 3 of US....and guess who is the YOUNGEST? MEEEE! Sick Mom!!!! Ha ha. I guess I survived it. But still. Geeeze!

But back to the curlers, we'd all bathe Saturday night and then Mom would put curlers in our hair, plop on a curler hat (those ones from Little house on the Prairie) and then we were off to bed.

Anyways. Here is Lydia all dressed up with nowhere to go. Can't wait for those blond locks grow a few more inches....imagine the hair possibilities I'll have. :)

Oh my gosh, I can't believe she kept them in! Funny thing is that I bought some of these curlers about a month ago hoping Bryn would let me put them in...haven't even tried it yet as I have been too chicken cause I know she pulls everything else out. You have now motivated me to atleast TRY it!

She looks so dang cute with those curls =)

I too remember only being bathed once a week....hmmmm....and maybe I need to invest in some sponge curlers...I wonder what RYlee's hair would do? It looks so cute on Lydia!
