Zacharie, Samuel & Lydia playing the Walser's piano after a backyard kiddie pool party. For the Catherine's last meal in the United States they chose to eat at Taco Bell. I didn't take any pictures of my Chalupa sorry.
Patrick & Michele Grattepranche the morning before they made their 20 hour flight home to France. This was their first time visiting the States. Neither of them spoke any English. I introduced Patrick to everyone as being a Bishop for 23 years. Yes, you read that correctly! TWENTY THREE! Crazy eh?!?
They are both amazing people and doing amazing in building the church in France. It was a pleasure meeting them and getting to know them while they were here. They had a great trip, we wore them out and made sure they saw as much as they could. Lydia knew they were special people too....and fell in love with them instantly. I can't wait to go and visit them someday! Their life and culture in France fascinates me.
The 'after' party of the main goodbye party. We busted out the
We had everyone bring an American treat to share. Antoine and his favorite Mt. Dew and Marie LOVED her Reeses. Mmmm!
Our kids were eating lunch behind their wheels while all of us enjoyed a LONG visit while we ate in peace at the restaurant. It was nice.
Some of my friends in the ward have a BIG neighborhood pool for a few subdivisions to use....it is such a great idea. Everyone wants a pool, but with no hassle of taking care of it. The little boy jumping off the edge is my sweet Jeffrey...he a tender heart and it was so much fun having him in my primary class. Lydia is a little fish in the water...she loves it more and more with every trip to the pool.
Marie is an amazing seamstress, but couldn't haul all 3 of her sewing machines here to Oklahoma. She made herself this purse by HAND and used it the majority of the time she was here and then surprised me with one of my own. I LOVE it so much that I teased her I was going to frame it and never wear it out. It took her a LONG time. But I do in fact use it although it is a treasure that I don't want to wear out too much. Thanks girl!
Marie is the QUEEN of packing. She lived out of these 8 bags for a lot longer than I ever could have and I was so impressed at her ability to locate anything and everything. I know for fact she is looking forward to being rid of them and having a home of her own again although she never complained once.

Samuel's face sums up my feelings perfectly.
