Bath time at our house is always an adventure...especially because 'poopin' in the tub' has become a new trend (I'll save that for another post, or maybe not. Sorry for the scare Dad). After bath time ever since Lydia was born our routine goes as follows: I wrap her up, show herself in the mirror, she giggles at the hooded towel on her head, and then as I attempt to ooze the lotion on her already perfect skin she tries to run away naked, we finish the lotion and then after that we end with her favorite thing, the baby powder.
I remember having baths as a little girl my Grandma Selman's and at the conclusion of each one, I'd dry off, she have me stand on the toilet in their tiny bathroom and she'd sprinkle baby powder all over me until we usually had a big white mess!
Grandma Selman passed away last year and ever since becoming a mom I am reminded of her everytime I smell the scent of a clean baby after a bath.
First and last time Lydia got to see Grandma. March 2009.
