3.9.2010 {Time for Class}

Every month when the Ensign comes I am always so excited, reason number one...I just LOVE getting mail and two because it is an amazing piece of scripture that always strengthens me in one form or another. I felt prompted to read the Visiting Teaching messages before I even gave thought to going on my visits.

"We want our sisters to be scholars of the scriptures. . . . You need an acquaintanceship with his eternal truths for your own well being, and for the purposes of teaching your own children and all others who come within your influence."

"We want our homes to be blessed with sister scriptorians—whether you are single or married, young or old, widowed or living in a family. . . . Become scholars of the scriptures—not to put others down, but to lift them up!"
President Spencer W. Kimball (1895–1985).

I feel like I used to be on my way to becoming a scholar of the scriptures, I used to attend Institute all the time. Brother Stephen's was my favorite instructor...wow! I also wen to all the devotionals, CES firesides...and before that Seminary, EFY's....and now I find myself missing all of those wonderful programs set up to help us with learning the Gospel. Now I am responsible for my own growth, I teach children on Sunday....but I don't attend any adult classes....which is ok, but I realized I needed something more lately.

Sooo...I signed up for an Institute class at OU. I'm not too old right?!? Even so, I don't care and I am so excited!
