Here are a few pictures of our trip. We first headed to Chickasaw State Park that had some "hiking trails", "waterfalls" and picnic area's.
These falls are called, "Little Niagara"....we ALL got a good chuckle out of this. Are you kidding me? Who ever associated it with Niagara should be shot. :) It is a popular water swimming hole and the water stays 67 degree's year round. That fact is pretty cool. We'll have to go back and give it a try.
Then we headed on a "hike" ha ha....it was fine, we weren't expecting much in our flat state and it was actually perfect for strollers and had some beautiful natural springs to see.
We enjoyed a delicious picnic complete once again with Marie's Salad au Rie. Mmmm! I am becoming hooked to it...and when I have to (after she moves back to France) I will someday learn to make it myself. :(
The kiddo's and Dad had fun skipping rocks into the lake and it felt amazing to have the warm sunshine shinning on us!
Our next stop was Turner Falls, we had no idea what to expect here....and we were mighty impressed. It had camping, waterfalls, hiking, caves, playground...and we did all we could in the short time we stayed.
This fall reminded us of Navajo Falls at Havasupai in Arizona. Not quite the same exotic atmosphere but still very beautiful.
My little lamb by the shore front.
Hotel Pool!!!!!! Sooooo FUN and refreshing! (A little blurry...still precious.)
We shared a room with the Catherine's and these two LOVED exploring everything, playing on the beds, talking on the phone and in the morning when Zacharie heard Lydia cough he was SO excited she was in the same room. Super cute!
Bus ride to check out the World Wide Casino.
Had to get a picture of THIS! All three of them are from France, not Paris...but close enough. :)
Marine, me, Lydia, Zacharie, Antoine & Marie.
Thanks for a fun get-away everyone!
