Life Lately

I've emptied my iphone photos and its always fun to look back and see what we have been doing from day to day. Time is flying by, I can't fathom that it is already November.

Back in September Johne and Lydia sang in Sacrament meeting. They chose the song Search Ponder and Pray and it was so lovely.

When the kids went back to school I go busy de-junking, cleaning our closets and organizing. I started with the bathroom closet and I've hit just about every room in the house now.

Lydia created this cute card using washi tape.

I taught the kids how to play Catan. They caught on fairly well.

I've hit the gym a few times. I always take photos of our workout routines to have saved on hand for another workout.

Hanging out.

Hide and go seek.

I re-potted my pineapple.

I was put in charge of the Primary program and as always the kids always come through and do amazing.

Brendina was baptized. I spoke at her baptism.

Lydia got to join me at the Woman's General Broadcast. She froze in the chapel and then loved eating dinner with all of our friends. She remembered the story "5th floor last door."

Johne and some youth at church.

Tyson took us out to eat at a new burger joint.

Tyson and Lewis put together a mini Batman Lego. The pieces were tiny tiny.

Johne and I learned all about plant and animal cells. Woo hoo for school projects.

We love Friday evenings at the beach.

Lydia helped me make cinnamon rolls one morning.

We enjoyed watching General Conference. (a week later than the rest of you.)

Our Sprite can said J. COLE. We thought that was pretty cool.

I picked up Delarina and Rina for church and these kids were outside. I've taken some of them to church before. They are darling.

Lydia learned all about space and astronauts at school. She came home beaming and told me all about it. I love when school is exciting to her. (stole pic from FB)

Lewis joined us for scripture study one morning. ;)

My friends are the best. They pick me up for the gym and my other friend set up all of our stations at our HITT class. Doesn't get much easier than that.

This has been happening. I can't vote, I am still a Canadian Citizen but man alive it sure has been discouraging seeing all the junk going on this with election.

Johne has been requesting to sit outside and read for his twenty minutes a day.

On the day of my book club I decided I needed to make a chocolate pie. My book group had never read The Help. So that was the book for the month. Ha ha. Do you remember Mini's chocolate pie from the book? I almost didn't dare. But everyone burst with laughter when I busted it out.

Tyson and I attended a formal Navy event with the Lallatins. I might right more about that later. Wowza.

We hit a Saturday movie on base. Only $3 for kids. Can't beat that!

We were going to go to the pool after the movie but we ended up blowing up our pool instead. The kids played in it until 7 p.m. It was dark and they were still having fun up until it was time to go to bed.

I finally checked out the Thrift store on base. Geesh.....its only open one morning a week. I've been back every week. I love finding treasures. I found a dress all of this for $4. A dress, pants for Lydia, necklace for me and fun new sandals.

Giving Lewis some love.

On the day of the Trunk or Treat I started painting a sheet and this was the unfinished process.

After Trunk or Treat photo.

This is as crazy as Lydia would let me get with her hair this year. She never wants to go all out. Her hair is getting long and she will not let me cut it. She wants it to be down to her bum....island girl style.

Life is treating us good.
