Baptism Day at San Luis

Lydia she thought she had to wait for what felt like an eternity to get baptized. Her day finally came and she was as prepared as could be. November 9th. (Birthday Sept 11th)

She wore the same jumpsuit that I wore when I was baptized. It has lace trim and heart shaped buttons. It fit her perfectly.

She shared her special day with Mason. These two met on our first day at church and we moved in two homes away and they seem to do everything together.

Andy and April are amazing friends. We do just about everything with them too....holidays, dinners, date nights, beach days....etc.

We set up in a little corner of the jungle. It was a beautiful location away from the people using the beach.

The girls sang the song, "I am Ready" and the ending line of the song said, "Today I am just like him."

Our ward family came out to support our girls. It was sad not being able to share this special day with extended family but we were happy with the turnout.

Johne Boy gave the talk about the Holy Ghost. It was precious. He used two cans as an object lesson about how when we are filled with the Holy Ghost we are stronger and the adversary cannot crush us.

When it was time for them to get baptized everyone walked around and down to the beach. I stayed up near the jungle with Johne so he wouldn't be alone.

Lydia had the biggest smile on her face right before the prayer.

Adam Perrins and Cody Lallatin were the witnesses.

Then it was Mason's turn.

The kids all wrote her little notes while I figured out how to get her changed without any restroom to use.

We brought out refreshments when it was through. April brought brownies and cookies and I made rice krispie treats and homemade Oreos.

These precious girls will all be 8 years old together pretty soon.

Lily is another good friend. She will be 10 soon.

Johne looked so handsome. I love when he is in his Sunday best.

I love the Hunt Family. The kids are like nieces and nephews to me. Ashton baby sits for us, the little ones come over to play all the time and Caden is one of Tyson's young men at church. Good family!

I am grateful for Lydia and for the ordinance of baptism and the Holy Ghost. She is one special girl and I am so happy for her.
