General Conference

We watch Conference a week later here on the island because of the time difference. It was Johne's first time watching Conference and I loved telling him all about it before time. We had some good little chats.

I loved telling him that we have a living prophet and apostles on the earth and every six months they tell us things that they want us to hear to help us. I taught him how to raise his hand and sustain the prophet and Apostles. I told him all about the conference center and the Mormon Tabernacle choir. He had never heard of them. He sang along to all of the songs that he knew. During the sessions he listened and helped Lydia maneuver the Conference board. At the end of the sessions he liked watching our leaders walk out with their wives and wave to the audience.

Tyson had to work on Sunday and I watched one session with Lewis. He is much more reverent than my family. ;) Elder Uchtdorf words always seems to hit home to me....every single time.

Elder Hollands final talk also hit me hard. I loved it. I searched for this quote on-line and couldn't find it so I made my own using this picture of Guam.

I always get a little sad when Conference is over but not this time. This time I felt empowered  and excited to start a new week, trying, loving, trusting, believing and growing into a better person.
