Tsukiji Fish Market

The Tsukiji Fish Market was one of my favorite things, if not my very favorite thing we experienced in Tokyo. We got on the train and went up a few stations from our hotel, then we walked for a good 10 minutes until we found it. It was crowded and full of so many good things to eat and see. It is the is a largest wholesale market for fish, fruits and vegetables in central Tokyo The word on the street is it is relocating this November, so we are happy we got to see this famous market before it changes.

Lots of cute Elderly people were shopping and we were surprised by how many Elder people were working so hard in their own shops.

So much seafood!!!

Check out how much STUFF this lady has to sell. Love it!

We tasted Japanese Omelets. They were sweet eggs and very tasty.

We also tried some eel and a few other good things. Nothing like eel for breakfast.

We ventured into where the fisherman work.....we just kept walking and walking and we saw so many cool things. I love seeing people in their own environment. I prefer this sort of traveling verses the touristy sites.

If you have a hotel near the market you can come at 5 a.m. to witness the grand tuna auction.

I love this shot.

We went to eat some Sushi in a tall and skinny little building. It was SO fresh and somehow it just melted in my mouth. I loved every bite!

These men were master Sushi chefs. We loved watching them at hard at work.

On our way home I snapped a few pictures of the homes near our hotel. Aren't they darling?

Everything is built up in Tokyo. Check out this driveway! Very cool, eh!

We ended our day at the pool.
