Easter 2017

Easter week is quickly becoming one of my favorites of the year, it is up there with Christmas and General Conference for me.

The kids followed their string to find their Easter Baskets. They think this is the greatest thing in the universe.

I wanted to make this Easter cake (inspired by Martha from the British Bake off). It was fun to make and I hope it tasted good as it looked. I ended up giving it away to a new family.

On the Saturday before Easter our Ward met at Ipan beach for a Easter egg hunt, Breakfast and then an Easter Devotional. It started at 6:30 a.m. and was a really nice event.

Later on that day the Activity day girls went to a Daddy Daughter Dance at the Stake Center. Mason's Dad was off island so she joined Lydia and Tyson.

Lydia told all of her friends that I'd do their hair without asking me first. It's a good thing this Momma likes to do hair.

They had a lot of fun and after the dance they met us at the theater and we watched Beauty and the Beast. I loved Emma Watson.....I thought she did marvelous.

This is the real reason I love Easter week. Each day we would pull out of scriptures and read what Jesus did on that day. The kids were so teachable again this year and they soaked up every word. We would read the scriptures and then watch the bible video and then put a picture up on our poster. The spirit was strong in our home that week. I am so grateful for my Savior and for his example, life, death and resurrection. Their is nothing better than being able to teach J Boy about the resurrection.

Happy Easter.
