Last year our friends went camping to this exact same spot. We were invited to join them but it was the first day Johne was coming to live with us. We hoped he would like to camp but we didn't think his first night with his first foster family should be on the beach in a tent.
All year long I insisted to my friends that we plan another camping trip. So we did and I had planned on spending the two nights they reserved, but we ended up with two foster babies this year (a one year old and a two year old). Tyson had to work that night and I wasn't about to take two little ones camping without any extra help.
So instead Lydia and I woke up early, packed up the SUV, brought all the baby stuff we thought we'd need.......and all the beach stuff on top of that and we drove to the other end of the island to spend the day with our friends.
Lydia wanted to spend the night camping and right before my little ones had any melt downs I packed them to go home and kissed Lydia goodbye. It was a pretty great day!
She is a natural little mother.
Caden (14) is the best teenager and somewhat like a big cousin to Lydia.
Everyone helped me chase around Little Man and keep in safe and entertained.
The top of the swells are beautiful here on Guam. Notice the teal color. I love them and was thrilled to finally capture it.
I laid down with Baby D in the hammock until she fell asleep for her afternoon nap.
Lydia zip lined for a good portion of the day and into the dark night.
The Hunts, Lallatins, Perrins were all there for the day.
Thanks for planning a great day and I'm sorry I copped out two years in a row.
I really do love camping. I promise.
