This place, Two Lovers Point is cool spot to visit on Guam. We took Grandma & Grandpa here for the first time and this was our second time back.
It is legend that these two lovers leaped from the edge of the cliff to fall to their deaths. Lydia hates the part in the story when it mentions that they tied their hair together.
We didn't notice this statue the first time we were there. I'm not sure how we missed it.
Our next stop was Ritidian beach, my favorite beach on Guam. I love the sand, the views, the waves and the color of the water....everything about it is perfect!
This beach on the Northern shore usually has bigger waves so we don't typically bring our snorkeling gear but Tyson threw in his pair and we all took turns using it and the snorkeling was awesome. I have one more reason to love this place!
We ate a picnic lunch here before leaving to our next destination.
The little girls were hot and tired by the time we went to Tarague beach. We planned on swimming and exploring in these tide pool...but the tide was out and their was very little water. We wandered around it anyways.
I found some star shaped sand. I had heard about this and I finally saw some. You can't tell in my picture. I'll have to do a better job at photographing it next time.
----A few days later: Our Easter bunny came on Saturday morning. The kids followed their string taped to the beds all the way to their baskets.
Tyson and Ali went on a hike up to one of the tallest of the tallest mountains on Guam. Mount Lam Lam and while they were gone we dyed some eggs. Gracie got super creative...I was so impressed.
Gracie requested we go back to Gab Gab beach one last time on our last weekend. Tyson was at home writing his Church talk, both of us were asked to speak on Easter Sunday. He joined up with us at the beach a little later.
Lydia, Gracie and Ali did some more snorkeling but the water was a little bit rough this time around. Ali had some good stories of them freaking out to tell us when they returned safely.
We sent the girls off to do some exploring.
Sunday evening after our dinner we took a drive to Old Wives beach to watch the sunset.
It looked like a big orange beach ball going down into the water. We loved it!
We stayed up late visiting like we did most nights and then the next day we had to say our goodbyes. It truly meant so much to us that they would come ALL this way to see us and spend time on our island. It is not a convenient or easy trip to make and its not cheap either. They left Monday afternoon Guam time and didn't arrive home until Wednesday mid morning Guam time. A long trip indeed but we had so much fun with them and are so, so, so glad they came.
