Spanish Steps & Chamarro Village

Early one morning we hiked down to Spanish Steps. This is one of my all time favorite spots on Guam. The hike is in the beautiful in the jungle and then when you get to the bottom you see this....the cliffs, the water, the greenery.....but the best part and why we all love this place is what is under the water.

We had the entire place to ourselves while snorkeling. This place has amazing coral and the variety of tropical fish is incredible. I always see something new that I haven't seen. We took the girls out to see some anenome and some clown fish. "Nemo fish". I also spotted a Stone fish for the first time. Tyson let us know that they are poisonous so we observed from a distance. Ali and I spotted a long, large eel, like the ones Ursula owns on the Little Mermaid.

I had to leave and hike out before the rest of the crew. I had a meeting with 'Team Johne' at the school. (His IEP with the principal, social worker, attorney, teacher, Physical therapist....etc.) I got a little lost on my way out of the jungle.....I was taking pictures and not paying attention. Oops. But I figured it out, hiked out, and drove to the gym, showered and made it to the school just in time.

Later that evening we made our way to Chamorro Village in Agana.

We did some shopping.

Ate some fresh fruit.

I enjoyed the barbecued shrimp.

The others ordered barbecued ribs.

And Johne devoured an entire huge plate of local food. He LOVED every bite! He was supposed to share with Lydia but I don't think she got more than a few bites of red rice. Ha ha.

We found the same people from the river cruise and they offered to take Johne on the Cariboa for free. It was fun to watch him do this for the first time.

Tyson found a Puka shell necklace. Remember these bad boys from High School. We thought they were so cool.

Ali treated us all to a Slushi. Mango, Coconut and Strawberry....they were huge and delicious and Tyson was the only one who could actually finish his....I think he finished Ali's too. Mmm!
