Sleepover

These kids, the Shirai kids had left us a handful of messages while we were on vacation. They missed us a lot while we were gone. And I guess I had promised a play date when we returned home and so I kept that promise and went and picked up our friends to come over and spend the night.

Tyson was at work all night and until the day morning so it was just myself and this bunch. We went to the court to play, then to the park and on the way home we stopped at the mini mart to pick up a few treats.

This is Last Shine.

Next is Shine. The older of the Shine brothers. Their Dad is also named Shine. And they happen to have a teenage brother named Shane.

Isabel- her Chukese name is Nana.

And this is Yme. Pronounced: Why Me. We love her. We love them all.

Oooops. Yme biffed it but she was still smiling.

I sure am grateful for all Lydia does to help Johne from sun up to sun down. She often gets down and crawls around with him at home or the at the park. She has a big heart.

All of these kids adore Johne and take turns helping him to just about everything.

I love, love, love watching people experience or see things for the first time. for instance watching popcorn pop. Something that is so simple and something I have seen my entire life was SO fascinating to them.

We ate pizza- picnic style. I made them play a "speak in Chukese game"....the first person to say something in English was out. I love Johne to hear his language, I think it is good for him. Lydia obviously lost the game.

Later on the boys played the Wii while the girls watched a movie in the fort.

Then I put Johne and Lydia to bed in their own rooms at 8 p.m. (the need their sleep!!!!) and I let the rest of them stay up, play games and talk.  It was a fun night. I have never hosted a sleepover like this, and I most likely won't ever again....but man a live do I ever have a hard time saying no to these cute island kids and I think they know it. ;)
