Visiting the zoo was definitely a day that we aren't going to forget about our trip to Japan. Half the adventure was trying to find it but we did and it was a lovely day. On route we met these cute school girls.
Kids were free and didn't have to pay an entrance fee to enter the zoo, we couldn't believe it but it was true.
I adored all the preschool groups of little kids with their colored hats. I needed these back in my field trip teaching days.
We were super excited to go and see Ling Ling the famous Panda and we had an inside joke about Ling Ling that lingered all week long. But it turned out he was busy mating and nobody was allowed to see him. We were disappointed but what can you do.
We got to see plenty of other animals that we haven't seen in a long time and plenty of cute little local babies and toddlers too. It is toss up of who I took more pictures of. You can decide. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
It truly was a great day. After the zoo we went back to the hotel and went for a swim and worked out. Lydia LOVED doing both!
