5.2010 {She calls me MUM}

I read this quote recently and got to thinking about my Mom and Mother-in-law, my Grandmothers, Aunts and all the important woman who have impacted my life. This is what they do: they love the Lord and they serve His children!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

I love this little kiddo with all of my heart.
She is my world and I'd do anything for her. I adore spending each and
everyday with her as my side kick. We have so much fun together and she keeps me laughing all the time. She needs me, I need her and I like being needed. She calls me Mum, best name ever!

I made these for my mom and mother-in-law this year. I had lots of fun and I think they turned out alright. I told Tyson that I kind of felt like a 4th grader in Art class...but hopefully our Mom's won't think the end result appears that way. Lydia wanted in on some paint action...and so she decorated the back and then I sprinkled some glitter on top.

Happy Mothers Day!

  6. Aunt Gayla...after I use the nail polish to make make up I just let it dry up and she paints the town with it. :) So fun. So easy!
