Pinewood Derby

My Presidency and I were in charge of hosting the Pinewood Derby this year. In our ward everyone is invited to participate along with the Cub Scouts. 

 I made these trophies for the three winners in the ward and the top three cub scouts winners. 

I spray painted and then hot glued little cars that I bought at the Dollar Tree and then filled them with candy. 

Tyson helped Lydia with her car. He did a lot to the axles and weights. She is a huge Archie Comics fan and has tons of them and it pained her to rip out a few pages but that is what we did and after some cutting and mod podge it was good to go. 

Eric and Tricia ran the track. It was so organized and well done. They are pros.

We served Nacho's, Taco's, corn dogs and ice cream sandwiches.

Logan Olsen's car won first place in Cub Scouts. 

Lydia's car won first place in the Ward competition. She was super pleased and so was her Dad.
