Croissants

Alison was one of my favorite people on Guam. We didn't become BFF's until the last 6 months or so. We both detest running errands alone, so we quickly became errand friends, even grocery shopping together on one or two occasions. We exercised together, our kids were friends, we loved talking about books and our favorite show to discuss was the Great British Baking show. Whenever one of us watched it we'd wind up in the kitchen trying to recreate something we had seen.

Alison had the idea to try and make homemade croissants TOGETHER. We started at 8 am and it took ALL day long. We didn't finish until 11:15 p.m. We even went to a movie with some girl friends while they were rising for the last and final time. They weren't hard to make, just a lot of steps and time consuming like I already mentioned.

They turned out INCREDIBLE! They had a lovely color, on the inside they were light and fluffy, full of layers and they tasted sensational. Really! We shared them with our favorite people of the hood and then enjoyed every last bit with our families. They were too good not to share.

We watched a few you tube videos and followed a recipe. All the links below. Enjoy!

We combined both methods and it worked for us.
