It is good luck/tradition to touch the Caraboa before getting on a flight at the Guam airport, so touch him we did.
It was a pretty short flight to Hong Kong. Not bad at all.
We found our luggage and then walked to a nice hotel right next to the airport. In the morning we did some exploring in our hotel and made our way down a delicious breakfast.
Tyson had to impersonate Buddy the Elf since it was, after all Christmas time.
I let the Sou Chef make me some authentic food. It was quite tasty.
Lydia stuck with the food she knows. She did however try Dragon fruit.
We didn't have long in Hong Kong so we hit the shops to find our "must have souvenirs". Two postcards, a magnet for the fridge and a fan for Lydia. I've added a piece of art as well. But we didn't find one in Hong Kong.
The drive from our hotel to the Cruise ship was FAST, it wasn't fast time was, but our drive drove super fast. I swear our driver was a speed demon....or maybe we have been driving so slow on Guam for these past years that it just felt fast. No, it was fast and Tyson was even a bit uneasy about it. But I guess anything feels fast after our top speed limit of 35 MPH.
The city was surrounded by so much water. I would definitely want to go back and explore some more someday.
These tall buildings were everywhere. It as overwhelming to think of how many people live here and have jobs. So many people. WOW.
It took a while to find the right port, our driver got a tad lost which in turn meant we got to see even more of Hong Kong but we did found it with plenty of time to spare.
We made it with enough time to hit the pool, explore the ship, unpack and start relaxing before the ship took off in the night.
It was a 14 day cruise, stopping in 4 cities in Vietnam, 1 day in Cambodia and 2 days in Thailand and plenty of days at sea to enjoy.
Next stop. Halong Bay, Vietnam.
