Back seat of the Bus

I've been looking for a family for quite some time now. I met this sweet family when we first moved here and their house burned down (long story) and they moved out of our ward.

I knew where they sort of live but not exactly. Each week I would drive our little foster babes 25 minutes to their parent visit and then I would drive around this neighborhood (like a creepy white lady) and check out all the kids in search for this family,

I have seen them at Stake Conference and the kids have called me on the phone once or twice but that is all. It had been about 6 months since I've heard from them and I wanted to know how they were doing.

I called the missionaries and inquired about where they might be located and I didn't get any answers.

So one day I prayed. I prayed as we were driving to the Parent visit. I told Heavenly Father that I wanted to find this family and I simply asked if he would help me.

About 10 minutes later I looked up as I was driving and I recognized a boy. It was Smiley (the oldest child in the family) he was sitting on the back seat of the bus smiling at me from ear to ear. He poked his friends and then pointed to me, I hollered to Lydia and waved to him.

What did I do next? You know I followed that bus.Ha ha.

It turned right and so did I. Then it stopped and so did I. Smiley was one of the last kids to get off the bus and then he came running to see us. He told us what number their house was and I told him we'd drop off the babes and then come find his family to say hi.

We did! It was sooooooo fun to see our dear friends again. Mayleen & Myleen. Peekaboo and Yaya were inside sleeping....so we will definitely have to go back.

We had a good visit and then we were on our way. Lydia was worn out from our traveling the day before and fell asleep in the backseat. Jet lag can be a beast. (More on our trip later.)

I'm glad she experienced this with me. I hope she remembers that God does answer prayers. Even if they are little and may not seem important to anyone else.
