This was the gorgeous view we got to enjoy right outside our lodge at Payne Lake.
I loved that the word LOVE was mowed into the lawn.
Courtney was all over holding newborns on this trip. She couldn't get enough.
I have a picture of me holding my cousin Katherine when we were about this age and we thought it would be funny to try and re-create it with Brooklyn and baby Mary. Is Mary not the CUTEST thing you've ever seen????
Uncle Richard was always playing with the kids.
We loaded the trucks and headed out on an adventure one morning.
After we did hair of course. ;)
And after I took a few pictures of the beautiful morning light,
and fun breakfast conversations.
We drove as far as we could in the mud and then got out and hiked our way up by foot.
Mary took a snooze.
Doug had canoes and paddle boats all ready for us up at the lake.
I love talking to Sterling. He is all boy....guns and farming run in his blood.
Katherine and her old so stylish shoes.
Aunt Sharan used Tooneys as incentives to get the kids to go off the rope swing and boy did it work.
I enjoyed picking some wild flowers.
Lydia loved this puzzle grass that can come apart and get put back together.
This picture depicts motherhood perfectly and Camellia always does it with a smile.
Mud on the tires.
I picked a lot of these waterlily flowers that were floating in the lake and brought them back so we could enjoy them.
The kids made necklaces. Lydia spent an extra hour making sure that she made the longest one possible.
We did a lot of berry picking. Raspberries and saskatoon berries. Mmmm!
Heather did so much of the planning and arranging activities for us like an FHE and get to know you memories.
We went for a short drive to go and see Camellia and Dougs new home that is being built in Mountain view.
We stopped at the Barn store for some penny candy.
And we tried on these sweet jackets.
The boys found some tuques too.
My handsome nephews!
Cousin Paul.
We had a little rock throwing contest at Payne lake.
I lost.
This beautiful pelican was enjoying the day.
Lydia was the first girl to jump off the dock into the cold water.
Amanda and her boyfriend.
Dad and Liam.
I loved photographing baby Mary.
Todd taught us this new game called Code Names. I loved it!
Katherine.
Camellia.
Everyone took turns hitting Logan with water balloons.
Sarah made a super fun music video of us the entire weekend. It was hilarious!
Mom had the kids act out some old stories about Grandpa and Grandma Selman.
We shared and heard some precious memories about Uncle Ken. It was sure not the same without him.
Here is the whole crew. It was a fabulous 3 days full of good food, new memories made and lots of babies to hold. A success in my books.
