We went down to Chamorro village a few times during Fest Pac. They had a different hut for each island that was visiting. They were creating and selling amazing homemade arts and crafts. It was fun to shop and see all of their amazing creations.
I went with Lisa, April, Caden (5) and Kate (4).
We all bought a beautiful Nativity made out of a coconut.
Down under the trees some of the delegates were busy carving HUGE sculptures. We were able to talk to them and watch for a bit. They were leaving these wood carvings for the newly built Guam museum.
I bought a few of these rings to give away and I kept one for myself. They are really light weight, smooth and they are made from spiral seashells.
These ladies were from Papa New Guinea and I busted out some french and spoke with them for a minute.
I went back another day with Lydia and Isabel so they could both pick out a souvenir.
It was pouring rain and we got soaked on our way back to the car but it was very much worth a fun memory made.
